Ghostdance for one (2017)
Created as the final instalment in Parker’s ‘anarachival’ trilogy during a fellowship at the Institute for Creative Arts (ICA) at the University of Cape Town, with additional funding from the National Arts Council of South Africa and the National Arts Festival. The work explores the ghost as a haunting trace within conventional modes of archiving and considers its potential as a departure point for creative processes aimed at rethinking the past.
